The Word of God is Taught

"Therefore shall ye lay up these my words in your heart and in your soul, and bind them for a sign upon your hand, that they may be as frontlets between your eyes. And you shall teach them to your children, speaking of them when thou sitest in thine house, and when thine walkest by the way, when thou liest down, and when thou risest up. And thou shall write them upon the door posts of thine house, and upon thy gates: That your days may be multiplied, and the days of your children, in the land which the Lord sware unto your fathers to give them, as the days of heaven upon the earth." Deut 11: 18-21

God commands us to teach our children the word of God. This is a challenging task. At Mount Hope Christian Academy, we partner with parents by teaching each lesson from a Christian perspective. The word of God is memorized, taught, and applied throughout the day.

God is the Beginning of Wisdom and Knowledge

"The fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom: and the knowledge of the holy is understanding." Proverbs 9:10

As children study math, science, social studies etc. at Mount Hope Christian Academy, they learn about God. God expects Christian parents to sow and nurture His word in the minds and hearts of their children. In a setting where home, church, and school send the same message, this is more easily accomplished. An education that uses God's word as its foundation produces wiser and more knowledgeable students.

Teachers Love and Fear the Lord

"For by wise counsel thou shalt make thy war: and a multitude of counselors there is safety." Proverbs 24:6

One reason why students  in Christian schools perform so well in the classroom is that they have a higher percentage of teachers who sincerely care about them. At Mount Hope Christian Academy our goal is to hire teachers who, in addition to their passion for children, have a personal relationship with Jesus Christ.

Individual Attention

"The eyes of the Lord are upon the righteous, and His ears are open unto their cry." Psalms 24:13

God cares about His children. He sees us as individuals and responds to our every need. In addition to having a higher percentage of caring teachers, Mount Hope Christian Academy can almost always offer more individual attention than public schools because many of them are overcrowded and understaffed. The smaller, more intimate class sizes also encourages greater participation.

Peer Pressure

"Be not deceived: evil communication currupts good manners." 1 Corinthians 15:33

Children will be exposed to negative influences no matter where they go to school. Mount Hope Christian Academy strives to minimize negative influences and maximize positive influences. Christian Education can be a tremendous financial sacrifice, but when you consider it an investment that will reap rewards in eternity as well as here on earth, no sacrifice can be too great. We ask that you prayerfully consider allowing us to partner with you as you train up your child in the way they should go.
